Western women winners at the Tottenham Gymkhana

The Tottenham Gymkhana provided the perfect arena for our western women to show off their winning ways over the weekend, October 10-11.
With competitors representing all corners of the western district, these fearless females both young and old showed off their skills and galloped off with a swag of ribbons, trophies, and most importantly, bragging rights.
Nyngan’s Isla Ross enjoyed a highly successful weekend at the Tottenham Gymkhana on October 10, taking out the overall High Point Award and the prestigious Anne Semler Memorial Trophy.
Riding Montcalm Jackard, Isla finished with an impressive 22 points to claim the high point Award for the 16 and under 18 age division, while also being named the overall champion for riders aged 10 and over.
Her success continued in the flag race, where she recorded the fastest time of the day at 42.5 seconds. Her strong performances saw her rewarded with a bag of horse feed from Dubbo Pet and Stockfeed, a bag of Lympia pellets from Furney’s as the high point winner of her age division, and a gear bag donated by Jenine at Horsewear Repairs.

It didnt stop there for Ange however, teamed up with Alex McKee and Melissa "Myrtle" Murray, "Steve's Sorry" won the Team Arena Sorting event on Sunday, and didnt fair too badly in the "Totty Twist" either.
